First of all, let me introduce you to Darla Joy! She is 12-years-old and the youngest daughter of We Care's President Dave Landis.

Darla has struggled with severe epileptic seizures for most of her life and recently underwent brain surgery called a corpus callostomy in hopes of lessening her nearly constant seizures. Unfortunately the results of the surgery were not as expected! In fact, the doctors say she is "charting her own course." Right now she is in an induced coma and will probably be going through a second surgery this week.
