Big News in Atmore!

We now have our very own Walmart!  It is on Hwy 21 just out of town towards We Care. Now instead of keeping a list and only going on a Walmart run when absolutely necessary ... I will be driving past one every day on my way to and from work.  It is a "prototype" Walmart and is only 1/3 the size of a regular SuperCenter (67,000 sq ft instead of the typical 215,000 sq ft) ... they still consider it a SuperCenter because it has a full line of groceries and general merchandise categories, a garden center and a pharmacy. But ... unlike most SuperCenter stores, it does not have an automotive center or any of the "extra" stores like a restaurant or hair salon.

I'm looking forward to checking it out someday soon but for now I'm gonna just let the craziness die down!! The parking lot was jam packed ALL DAY today!  I am planning on enjoying some very quiet grocery shopping at Winn Dixie for the next several week. ;-)
