Fun with Frames!

Hey guys!  How are things around the Roberson house? ;-)  I'm counting the days until you get here!!  46 to be exact!

Here at the Neighbor's we are enjoying a calm, relaxing week.  Chris is up at the school playing basketball with they guys tonight so I have the house all to myself for the evening!  The highlight of my week was getting to have lunch with Twila Weber today. ;-)  I took off work for a couple of hours today and fixed a simple lunch of hoagie sandwiches for us to enjoy here at the house.  Really enjoyed catching up with her and showing her our house.  She and Phil have been on a 6 month sabbatical from Rosedale and are spending the last two weeks here in Atmore visiting family.  I intended to take a picture with her to post for you but, of course, I completely forgot until she was driving away! ;-(  Oh well ... you'll just have to use your imagination.

This week I decided to tackle a couple of DIY projects that have been brewing in the back of my mind for awhile!  The fist one was a gift for Jeremy & Amy's precious little bundle ... Lucy Rose Yoder.

Such a cutie!  Really hoping we can make a trip out to Illinois this fall to see Jeremy, Amy & Lucy, Jeremy & Shelbi and of course...Kim and Hans.

My second DIY "frame" project was to create a better jewelry display for my earrings.  The coffee mug just really wasn't ideal for finding earrings in a hurry! (at least not 2 that matched!!)  So ... I had seen the idea of stapling wire mesh onto the back of a picture frame.  The only problem with that was I didn't want to buy an entire roll of wire just for one small project.  Hmmm ... time to think of a solution! This is what I came up with. ;-)  I just took raffia ribbon that I had and stapled it in a zig-zag pattern across the back of the frame.  I really like how it turned out!  Not only is it better storage, but if helps decorate our bathroom too! ;-)

Well, I think I'm gonna go for now.  Have a fantabulous weekend!  Will probably call and chat sometime soon. ;-)  Love you all!  - Hannah
