Curb Apeal ... the "Neighboor-hood"

Hey guys!  Can you believe it's July 10th already.  Only 1 more month till I get to see you guys here at our house!! ;-)  This past week/weekend we tackled a couple of big house projects outside.  Our front door is now a beautiful shade of guacamole green, our front yard fence is rolled up behind the shop and the hedges got a much needed hair cut!  Unfortunately ... I don't have any pictures yet because it has been rainy ever since but I promise to post some soon. ;-)  In case you were wondering, the verdict is still out as to whether or not "fresh guacamole" was the right choice for our new front door color!  You might have to help us decide when you get here.  I'm just not sure?!!

As you can see from our updated blog banner ... it's garden time around here and even though we don't have a garden, it seems like I constantly have more fresh produce on my hand than I know what to do with!!  Between Chris's mom, our neighbors and friends from church & work we have plenty of okra, tomatoes, corn, beans, squash, zucchini & watermelon!  Oh my!  The okra above was headed to the freezer. ;-)  Wish I had more freezer space ... but it's pretty much maxed out already.

Hey there!  Glad you text me today. ;-)  Betta fish are really fun ... what made you decide to get one?  I told Little Chris about it and he says you should bring your Betta when you come to Alabama!  I think he gets kinda lonely!  Haha  ;-)  Anyway ... Here is a picture of the kind of food that I feed Little Chris.  Hopefully you can find the same thing at Wal-mart.  It last a long time because you only have to give your fish a few of the little pellets a day.

P.S.  I think Little Chris said "Cheese" when I took this picture! ;-)
