Women's Retreat

I'm getting caught up! ;-)

Oct 31st - Nov 2nd was the annual We Care Women's Retreat.  It was held at the headquarters building this year and I was a part of the planning committee.  It was a wonderful time of food, fun & fellowship. There were 20 ladies that participated and 1 little boy ... {see pictures!}

I enjoyed decorating a bit for the event and here is what I came up with for the table centrepieces   Flowers have a way of making any day brighter!

 These ladies are Scrabble pros!  They thoroughly enjoy playing every chance they get. ;-)  I didn't play scrabble but ... I did learn a new game called "Settlers of Catan" that I hope to get soon so that I can bring it home at Christmas time.

Another highlight of the retreat was craft time.  Part of my planning duties was to come up with an easy craft that we could do in an afternoon ... and this is what I found!  {Thank you Pinterest!} We made coasters out of ceramic tiles and scrapbook paper.  It seemed like the ladies really enjoyed the project and it was so much fun to see all the different personalities come alive!  Here is a glimpse at some of the finished products.

This little guy {Benjamin} was the ONLY male allowed at the retreat!  He provided lots of entertainment. ;-)  Who could resist that smile!

That's all of the pictures that I was able to capture ... we also enjoyed a meal out at Ruby Tuesdays, a time of sharing on the topic of "Contentment", a group shopping trip to the Economy Shop, as well as lots of relaxing free time.
