It's The Little Things ...

Like a spontaneous game of "Kitchen Island Bottle Caps" that makes me love my guy!  Last night after a delicious meal at Jaliscos {Mexican}, Chris and I came home and spent over an hour battling it out in the kitchen. I have no idea how he thinks of such things but ... I suddenly found my kitchen island being transformed into a game table with cereal box bumpers. ;-)  The object of the game was to slide your bottle caps across the island and try to get them to stop on the very edge!   We had so much fun. ;-)

Don't worry!  Soda only ;-)  Chris's new favorite brand of Creme Soda and Orange for me!  Who won? You ask? ... well ... I DID!!  Twice in fact!  For some reason the scoring rules kept changing. ;-)

We spent the evening tonight with Chris's mom and dad.  Their kitchen has been torn apart again this week to finish renovating the laundry room so I made some extra hamburgers and french fries to share. ;-)  His dad was in rare form! Recently, Chris's mom dyed her hair and it turned fire engine red!!!  In the middle of supper tonight Chris's dad looked over at her and said "I can't wait till your red hair goes away!"  Doesn't sound so funny when I type it out ... but is sure was funny in the moment!

Wow, its nearly 11 o'clock!  This "old" lady needs to get to bed. ;-)  Tomorrow morning we are being treated to breakfast during our usual Wednesday morning staff devotions.  Don't want to miss that!

P.S.  It's sunny around here ... BUT ... the cold wind must be sweeping across all the snow up north before it heads our way!  We are supposed to be in the 20's tonight.  YIKES!
