This week was our first Christmas event of the season. For some reason, this year, I have been having trouble switching gears from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season. I think it has finally sunk in after decorating for the We Care Christmas event last Thursday evening! I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures because of the busyness, but here are a couple. ;-) We were treated to a fabulous dinner at the headquarters building followed by dessert in the basement "coffee shop" ... which is where I came in. I got to transform the basement into a cozy coffee shop all decorated for Christmas. Wish you could have seen it! One of my favorite decorations were these paper snowflakes that I made. You will definitely be seeing some of these around our house when you come to visit! They are SO simple ... check out this link to see how to make them. ;-)

I also had the super fun job of coming up with gifts for the kiddos! I had seen a really neat idea on Pinterest for creating foam "snow" dough out of cornstarch and shaving cream ... BUT after a test run, I determined that it was entirely too messy to give as a gift {didn't want any unhappy moms on my hands!}. So instead, I made playdough and included everything neaded to make a little snowman! The kits took more time to create than I anticipated but it was LOTS of fun! ;-)
Love, Hannah
P.S. Can't wait to see a picture of your Christmas tree!
