Strike One!

Oh dear!  Looks like Monday came and went without a blog post. ;-( Sorry!

Well, I'm back ... so no worries! ;-)  Last night, I was planning to post a picture of the delicious sweet corn that we had for supper.  It felt strange be eating fresh corn-on-the-cob this time of year but I guess that's one of the blessings of living in Southern Alabama!

I was just in the living room watching the Presidential Debate and had to take a break!!  Nothing like watching two grown men argue.  I have NO idea how you make any sense of what they stand for.  Makes me VERY thankful that I have a God who is in complete control!!

Guess what!  I am going to be doing some graphic design work for We Care. ;-) Sheila is trying to phase out of her job so that she can be a full-time stay-at-home mom.  She has been doing some work from home but I have already picked up quite a few of the smaller projects.  Recently, Don asked me if I would be interested in officially taking on the task of graphic designer!  We have found a lady named Amy in Ohio who will do all of our major design work {newsletters, logos, etc...} but I get to do all of the smaller projects.  So ... my plate at work has become VERY full!  Almost overwhelmingly so.  I really enjoy the design work but it is going to be a challenge to juggle my accounting tasks with this added responsibility.  If this works out, eventually they may find someone to relieve me of at least some of my accounting duties ... but for now I get to handle them both!

Would appreciate your prayers, especially as I try to learn how to use the design program.  It is on a Mac laptop ... which is a completely different operating system and is proving to be a little frustrating.

Here are a couple of the projects that I just recently completed! ;-)  Thankfully Dave Landis has a good eye for graphic design as well and is able to give me some good direction and suggestions along the way.
