We have enjoyed our weekend around here. ;-) Chris was able to come home on Friday evening which was a blessing. We caught up on some yard work yesterday and just enjoyed the day together. While I used Chris's mom and dad's lawn mower to attack our tall grass, Chris worked in his shop on the other two mowers. Thankfully he had sucess with both! Our John Deere is now in working order and he was able to get the old Scag Sulky mower to start after some maintenance and tinkering. Just need to replace a couple of tires. Check this thing out!
I told his family that we are selling tickets to it's first lawn mowing. ;-) It's gonna look unique ... but as long as it works ... I'm happy! Chis is planning to paint it orange and put "Rigid" decals on it {his favorite tool brand} ... We will be the only people with a Rigid mower!!
Breeze taught me a lesson this week. I have been so frustrated at her persistent digging ... but this week I have been blessed by some of the beautiful flowers that she has "grown"! The flower bed along the back of the house looks like a mess but I had no idea that these beautiful flowers would bloom from the "weeds" that I had been trying so hard to get rid of! Made me think about the times in our lives when things or circumstances just don't seem to be going right {our way} ... everything may look like a mess but God knows exactly what he wants to bloom!
Now ... she did teach me a lesson ... but we are still trying to teach her one too!! Here is our girl trying out her new harness. She still doesn't understand the concept of being "tied" up. The instant she realizes she is on the chain ... she lays down like this and proceeds to army crawl everywhere after that!! Crazy thing!
Well ... I think I'm gonna go watch the last of the Spurs game with my guy! He is headed back up to Montgomery tomorrow for another week.

Thanks Hannah. Love you too - always.
ReplyDeleteWho's the dark headed guy in the picture?
I want to drive that mower when we come down next. It must be older than me!
The garage looks great.
