Small Group Pizza Night

Hey guys!  What's happening around there?  Just wanted to post a couple of pictures real quick from my week. ;-)  Chris was working out of town again all week but I went ahead and hosted small group without him on Wednesday night.  We had planned to make homemade pizza together as a group for supper and I was given the task of making the dough ... Oh boy!  Not too difficult of a task I was assured ... but I was a little nervous that my first attempt to make pizza dough would be for company!!  Thanks to a wonderful recipe and the discovery that it's really not that hard ... the dough turned out GREAT!  Will definitely be making homemade pizza on a regular basis from now on!!

Here is one of our finished products!  We also made a Chicken BBQ Ranch pizza that was AMAZING.  Here's the recipe for the dough if you are interested. ;-)

Ropp's Famous Pizza Dough {from the Huber family}

2 cups warm water
3 T oil
1 1/2 T sugar
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp oregano
6 cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 T yeast

Combine liquids in large bowl. Mix together dry ingredients and add to liquid, stirring until mixture is combined. Take out of bowl and knead several minutes adding flour if necessary. Lightly oil bowl, put dough inside, cover and place in a warm, dry place (oven with light on) for 20 minutes. Makes 2 large pizzas.

Our small group is such a blessing!  This isn't all of us ;-) but these were the only pictures I have from the evening.  I'm not very good at remembering to take pictures while I'm hosting!!

We will definitely miss Rich and Marj when they move home to Virginia in a month. They have really become like a second family to me through small group and We Care.  It will feel very different not to have them around!

Well, this girl is getting sleepy!  So I guess it's time to head to bed.  Would love to hear from you guys sometime!  Feel free to call, e-mail, text, comment ANYTIME!
I will try to call sometime this week to catch up ;-) wedding time is fast approaching!

Love, Hannah

  1. That pizza looks like something you would get at a real pizza place(not Pizza Hut!). I printed the recipe for mom

I'm so glad for the fellowship you guys have there. And I can imagine that Richard and Marj
will be hard to follow but the Lord will provide another good fit.

    Check e-mail for news.

    Love you guys,

    Dad
