A Road Trip to Baltimore!

Another wedding has come and gone!  Ryan & Rita are now Mr. & Mrs. Classen ;-)

In my last post, I think I mentioned that we would be traveling to Baltimore, MD for the wedding of Chris's best friend Ryan.  Chris was in the wedding so we were planning to hit the road early Thursday morning.  Well ... when we both got home from work on Wednesday evening we made the spontaneous decisions to drive through the night so that we could get there in time for Chris to be at the guys night the following evening!!  Crazy?  Maybe ... but the trip went REALLY well. ;-)  And ...
I got to relax in our hotel room all evening while Chris was gone!  A long phone call with Kim and time to treat myself to a soak in the tub and a  manicure/pedicure ... Just what I needed! ;-)
Leaving the wedding in a shower of confetti ;-)

The wedding was beautiful!  It was very special to be a part of their wedding day. ;-) {Ryan & Rita met at Rosedale the same year Chris and I did.}  They are planning to live in Baltimore which is a bummer ;-( ... but it was neat to see their house and spend some time exploring their city.

Another highlight of our trip was the reunion of Rosedale friends!  Here is a picture of all of us that went to Rosedale in '08-'09.  It's not the greatest but it works ;-)  We enjoyed hanging out and reconnecting around the wedding festivities!  There were quite a few other young adults around too ... I think we had nearly 30 people packed into Ryan & Rita's very small town house in downtown Baltimore!!  Talk about a fun time with lots of laughter.  We didn't want to leave!

Since Chris's birthday was also the day of the wedding ... the joke was that the party (aka "wedding") was all planned for him!  Saturday night after the wedding, his friends surprised him with a birthday cake. ;-)  So thoughtful & fun!  I'm really glad they did because with all of the traveling, I had not done a very good job of celebrating his birthday this year.

Next weekend, Bethany (in the floral dress) is getting married to Jeremy Halteman from Atmore.  I REALLY wish we could be at that wedding too but it's in PA and just isn't possible.  Also, Doug (with the crazy face) who you might recognize from our wedding, proposed to his girlfriend that night after they got home from the wedding! I had noticed that he didn't seem quite like his normal outgoing self but chalked it up to this being the first time that a lot of us had met his girlfriend.  What a shock and surprise to find proposal pictures on facebook the next day!!  Add that to our wedding list ;-)

Enough for now!  Will post more soon ;-)
Love you guys, Hannah

P.S. Doesn't my guy look handsome in his tux!! ;-)
