Easy as "Pie"

Yes ... believe it or not ... this IS the second blog post in 2 days!  Trying to keep up with all the renovation project fun and realized that I had some AMAZING pictures that hadn't been posted yet. ;-)  Okay ... maybe they're not quite amazing but I was pretty excited with how this project went!

Wallpaper Removal 101

We have all heard horror stories of wallpaper removal. Hours of painstaking scrapping and working to remove just a small section of stubborn paper.  But armed with very helpful advice from Noreen Host (coworker at We Care) and some rather cooperative wallpaper ... it didn't take much to tackle this project!!

Remove the top layer of wallpaper ... which peeled off easily in large sheets revealing the fuzzy paper backing.

Fill a spray bottle with warm water and evenly soak paper ... allowing it to soak in for several minutes.

Carefully slid a paint scrapper behind the wet paper to create a break in the sheet.

Now ... simply remove the paper in large sheets, using a paint scrapper to loosen any stubborn areas.

The wallpaper is no more!!  Well ... at least the wallpaper in the dining room. ;-)

Good night!
